Annapolis Mall is under new ownership after Macerich, a California-based retail developer, completed a major $272 million acquisition.

This deal includes the 1.5-million-square-foot mall and a nearby 13.1-acre former Sears property, signaling a bold step in revitalizing one of Maryland’s top shopping destinations.

Macerich plans to invest $40 million in leasing and improvements, aiming to boost occupancy above 90%.

Major retailers such as Dick's House of Sport, Dave & Buster's, Tesla, and Uniqlo are confirmed to open over the next two years, with others like Lululemon and Talbots joining the mix.

The acquisition does not include the Macy’s store or the empty JCPenney, but opens doors for future development.

With its prime location near Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, Annapolis Mall is poised for a vibrant future, promising an enhanced experience for local shoppers.
